Future developments
We are awaiting the introduction of the "telephone" here in Scotland, and despite being a little behind
the times, "broadband" should arrive in our area within the next twenty five years, making our lives a
lot easier in the world of communication. The introduction of the above services should go down in
history on a par with the now common "wheel", which we first witnessed some time in 1963 !!!!!!!
It is an amazing country, poised each day, waiting for the next innovation to appear, perhaps a device
for cooking food quicker than an oven, or even electric street lights or a wireless telephone system ?
